Kampung Bharu was founded in 1890s and is the oldest residential area in Kuala Lumpur. Through much of KL has been modernised, Kampung Baru still maintains a strong sense of history, as seen through the many traditional Malay wooden houses. This is another foodie area, local favourites like nasi lemak or nasi ayam goreng would definitely found at here. We also recommend that you seek for "Tapai" (a sweet fermented rice dessert, often wrapped in banana leaves), which is one of the favourite local desserts. Other highlights of the tour are the Rumah Limas, Master Mat’s house, Masjid Jamek Kampong Bharu, evening street bazaar, etc.
