WELCOME MESSAGE BY MINISTER OF ENERGY, GREEN TECHNOLOGY AND WATER MALAYSIA

We welcome all delegates to Kuala Lumpur for the IWA-ASPIRE Conference and Exhibition, which is a major regional event of water professionals, regulators and policy makers. I am fascinated with the theme of the Conference: “Breaking Boundaries – Developing a Better Future for Asia Pacific Regions”. As the Minister responsible for water, we constantly take into account the long-term development goals and strategies in the search for changes and innovative solutions to provide clean water for our people.

Therefore, I find the Conference theme very timely and of vital importance for the water sector to discuss and to seriously consider future solutions as well as to set right priorities with regard to our water agenda.

I am confident the Conference will provide excellent opportunities for experts, practitioners, researchers & industry specialists to interact, discover novel opportunities, to showcase and deliberate on the state of art solutions to address challenges to our water future especially as Malaysia continues its mission to decarbonise the national economy.(IWA).
